A few errors in her letter... I was not a "short-term employee". I was hired in Detox as full-time permanent, (and initially as part-time permanent in residential). (All employees are on probation for their first 90 days.)
She mentions that she heard on the news that Detox was closing. Actually they closed with only a few hours notice, the day after directors were asked about my complaint by the AK Dept of Labor here.
My complaint with the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission is a different issue than the one stated below. As stated below, I believe Salvation Army directors retaliated because I criticized misconduct by them. The separate issue (given to the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission) was the use of my illness to facilitate that retaliation. (Tthere were also other more conventional forms of discrimination.)
